Things are abuzz here at Cait&Jules as we gear up for a big birthday bash on Valentine's eve. As a sweet sendoff, each guest will receive a chocolate-y treat upon leaving. We wanted to do something reminiscent of the traditional heart-shaped box of chocolates without being too kitschy, so we decided to create our own boxes (glittered of course!). Instructions are below so you can wow your Valentine by going handmade on this Hallmark holiday.
You will need:
Red paint
Red glitter
Paint Brush
Sheer white ribbon
1. Paint the entire box red. You may need to do a few coats but don't worry if it is not perfect you are going to cover it with glitter!
2. Once the paint has dried mix the mod podge and glitter on a ceramic plate until you have a thick paste.

3. Apply liberally with a paint brush.
4. Wait about 15-20 minutes and repeat until your entire box is covered.
5. Let the box dry overnight so you know it completely dry, fill with candy or a small present and tie with the sheer white ribbon.
6. Give it, lovingly, to your Valentine!
